When I first started compiling and writing the pieces that would go into this entry in the bioautographic series, I figured on it being one of my usual 5.5" x 8.5" Bioautography booklets at maybe 12 pages max. But it kept growing, bursting the bonds of my standard formatting. I ended up having to double the size to 8.5" x 11" and it still ran 36 pages. So, officially, I’ve had to start calling it a “book.”

THE ILLUSTRATION
Since I didn’t do one of the usual pen/pencil drawings for this entry, I adapted one of the illustrations, “The City at Night on Acid (Part 2)” as a 17” x 11” poster. [Note that the this piece uses a photo of 3rd Street at 2nd Avenue in New York City in 1977 © Rich Allen, festooned with drawings from my notebooks dating from early 1977 through late 1978.]
A BIRD’S-EYE VIEW
“My Acidic Transubstantiation” grew into a monster (by my standards), so for those that don’t feel like reading it, here is an overview showing thumbnails of the whole thing so you can get a feel for it.
